Comic book characters are near and dear to my heart because they are a constant reminder of how precious and fertile a child's imagination can be. It was because of the stories I read as a child that opened me to a world of literature that changed my life. Comic books also gave me the inspiration to teach myself how to sketch throughout the summer of 1992 at the age of eight.

I wanted to show their evolution as ideas written and drawn on a page to fully formed characters that have left an indelible mark on several generations in their new medium of motion pictures.
