Extensive user research showed that inclusive representation in the travel space presented an opportunity to create value as a social media product. So a simple and intuitive MVP with video and text clip creation and sharing capabilities was developed. Collaborating with the Head of Product on feature prioritization and problem definition, content capturing, creation, and sharing was the first feature that was built.
What started as an iOS only solution expanded to include Android. The goal was for users to have a simple, yet familiar experience when creating or uploading content published to their account. The project proved to be instrumental in highlighting the need for creating a scalable design system, which was eventually created in collaboration with the heads of product, engineering, and I.
